Seated Figures
- African Art Collection
- Created around 1970, the carving of a man seated on a woman’s head is a unique piece of art but appears to have no ceremonial meaning. The statue is well carved. Unlike most African carvings with exquisite detail this carving appears to have been carved for art’s sake, or for tourist. The carving is in good condition.
