Seven Elephants Crossing Bridge
- African Art Collection
- This old hand-carved ivory tusk depicts seven elephants crossing a bridge. The open mouth of a fish or serpent appears at the front of possession. The eyes of the elephants and fish are inlayed with small black stones. Because of the color of the ivory, the age lines and the carving style, the ivory tusk is believed to be between 150 to 200 years old.
