The segbureh is a Mende percussion instrument consisting of a calabash or gourd surrounded by a string net. The net is strung with nut shells. The gourd has a natural tint. The string is tied into a web with rectangular patterns. Nut shells with small holds are attached to the bottom third of the net weave. The segbureh shows signs of use and is in good condition.
