Sunufu Face Mask (Kpeliye’e)

- Created around 1960, the carved female face mask was carved from a single piece of wood. The coiffure has a single bun running the length of the head and a single plait on each side of the head. The facial features adhere to Senufu tribal standards, oval face, subdued eyes, long thin nose, and defined teeth. The carving is in excellent condition.
