Sierra Leone, West Africa is a country of multiple tribes practicing similar cultural traditions relating to strip weaving on a tripod loom using heddles and beaters. Sierra Leone is comprised of three provinces and the Western Area. Men and women in the three provinces practice strip weaving. The local craftsmen take tremendous pride in their craft.
