Akan Comb

- This wood comb is carved from a single piece of two-tone teak wood. Teak is a hard wood that ages well. The comb has a head on the top and ten teeth. Two of the teeth are broken. Except for the broken teeth, the comb is in good condition.

Rulers are known by a variety of names including King, Chief, Nana and Asantehene. The Akan are known for their cocoa, ceramics, staffs, textiles, dolls, gold jewelry and elaborate funerals.
