Kenya is in East Africa. The country straddles the equator and is roughly twice the size of Nevada. There are roughly forty ethnic groups in the country. About 70 percent of the population is rural. Kenya is best known for its tourism. The main industries are the small-scale production of consumer goods, crafts, and textiles. Many of these handmade items are exported. The craftsmen take tremendous pride in the production of the vibrant and creative cloth.
