Joyner East

Joyner East

Construction for Joyner East occurred throughout several phases, beginning in the 1950s and concluding in the 1990s. This two-story, concrete-framed facility, is situated on the east side of Sonic Plaza, a pedestrian walkway separating Joyner East and Joyner Library. Initially an L-shaped structure, Joyner East underwent major reconstruction in the 1990s. The northern portion was razed (to create Sonic Plaza), leaving a freestanding 30,118 square foot classroom building that now houses the School of Communication.
