Racers Club

With its many illustrations of campus life, the inaugural volume of the Tecoan amply documents the liberated, even exuberant atmosphere evident at the teachers college in the early1920s. This picture of the playfully dubbed “Rac??ers” club, conveys it well. The flower of the club was the “Two-Lip,” and its Motto, “Ride! Ride! Ride!” Nicknames of the members included “Boots,” “Gin,” “Mathy,” “Hix,” “Cillie,” and “Lil.”
