The 19th Amendment, ratified in 1920, provided for female suffrage. Coupled with the end of WWI, this expansion of the franchise contributed to a decade exuberance known as the Roaring Twenties. This photograph appeared in 1923 in the debut volume of the Tecoan, the new annual for the Teachers College.
