Reasons non-returning students give about withdrawal from East Carolina University / by Ella Julia Powell.

Summary The current study examined 667 written reasons non-returning students gave for their withdrawal from East Carolina University. The computer program N-VIVO was used to break down the reasons into categories. In total, 61 categories were created. Categories that were created included: financial reasons, pregnancy, academic reasons, social reasons, among more. The research method, content analysis, was used as part of the study to help analyze the reasons and categories. The findings of the current study are consistent with findings of other studies that have examined this topic.
