Abstract This bibliography includes musical compositions from the period 1663-1763, some of which might possibly have been known by the settlers of North Carolina. The music reflects the spirit of the day and ranges from the stately court airs heard in the palaces and chapels of the kings and princes to the simple tunes of the general populace. Represented are selections for both solo voices and various vocal ensembles, keyboard music, compositions of the Moravians, instrumental works for small and large ensembles and operas. Following the various bibliographical entries is a list of the composers whose works are included.
