Abstract This Statistical Brief presents estimates of the percentage of children under age 18 at the end of 2004 who lived in families containing at least one adult who was a current smoker. Variations are examined by selected characteristics of the child (asthma status, age, race/ethnicity) and co-residing family (number of adults, poverty status, geographic location of residence, highest adult education level).
