| Abstract | Four times life size, in hand-painted vinyl, this is the only model that exposes all the human sinuses. Perfect as a surgical trainer, key anatomical landmarks such as the internal carotid artery and optic nerve are portrayed. The middle turbinate is detachable, exposing the partially dissected unicate, infundibulum, and ethmoid bulla. The bulla has been perforated to demonstrate the endoscopic pathway to the ethmoid cells, and for patient education, the physician can quickly demonstrate the surgical procedure, thus alleviating preoperative patient anxiety. |
