In the dances Kanaya Tanzen and Kosu no To Tamasaburo expresses the very essence of femininity, but it is in the Kagami Jishi "The Lion Dance," that he displays his extraordinary versatility. In this most demanding of roles, the actor first must convince as a shy maiden and then transform into a fierce lion.;
