The case-makers, and the trade in general, are desired to take notice, that the pendants of their watches, and each component part of every manufactured article ... must be of one of the standards appointed for wrought plate : and that the vender, as well as the maker ... is liable to all the penalties provided by the several Acts of Parliament relating to the trade; and that those penalties will be strictly enforced.
