| Abstract | This manual is designed as a pronounciation guide by use for English-speakers who wish to sing recital and opera literature that has Spanish text. Hispanic singers may also find it of some value, especially the sections on other dialectal variation. The author has chosen as her basis for phonetic study the dialects referred to as "standard Latin American" and "standard Castillian" Spanish: that is, the Spanish spoken by newscasters, television personalities, etc. |
