| Abstract | Ralph Cotter is a prison escapee driven by a vicious nature and the need to make a big score. He finds it during a shake-down by two crooked cops, with help from a less-than-honest lawyer, and sets up a plan to heist $50,000 from a local racketeer. But as he teeters on the verge of success and a clean getaway, he succumbs to one of his rare decent impulses-- and pays the ultimate price for his change of heart. |
