Notification : The freeholders and other inhabitants of the town of Boston, qualified as the law directs, are hereby notified to meet at Faneuil-Hall on Monday the 12th day of September currant [sic] ... to take into consideration what measures are most proper to be adopted under the present critical aspect of the times; agreeable to a petition of a number of the inhabitants for that purpose.
