General noteThe caption title to Rush's letter appears at the foot of the leaf containing "The sayings of Ann Campbell"; the text of Rush's letter appears on the leaf following, and is dated: Philadelphia [blank] 1766. Finley died at Philadelphia on July 17, 1766. Bristol's and Shipton & Mooney's entries give primacy to the letter by Rush.
