At a General Assembly of the governor and company of the state of Connecticut, holden at Hartford, (by special order of His Excellency the governor) on the 29th day of November, 1780 : Whereas this assembly ... directed the several towns ... to provide and transport to the army, a number of shirts, woollen stockings, shoes and mittens ... Resolved ... that the selectmen ... deliver the same to Mr. Elijah Hubbard, sub-clothier.
