| General note | Attributed to Benjamin West by Evans, as are nearly all the almanacs published under the Bickerstaff pseudonym. The other "Federal" almanacs published in Boston during this period (for 1792 and 1797) are identical with "Bickerstaff" almanacs for the same years, and are also attributed to West by Evans. Both of these (although not the present one) correspond to the almanacs of Osgood Carleton and are evidently his work. West issued no almanacs under his own name for the years between 1787 and 1804. |
