Georgia : We the representatives of the people of the state of Georgia, in convention met, do ordain and establish the following articles as additions and amendments to the present constitution, to take effect, and be in full force, on the first Monday in October next.

General noteAscribed to the press of John E. Smith by Evans, who suggests 1796 as date of publication. Smith advertised "The constitution of the state of Georgia, with the additions and amendments" as "Published and for sale at this office" in the Augusta chronicle, Nov. 12, 1796. Smith may have been advertising the present item bound with the 1789 edition of the constitution.
