General noteCalculated by Benjamin Workman. With some omissions and additions, the calculations and astronomical notes on the calendar pages are identical with those in Father Tammany's almanac for 1787 (Philadelphia: Young and M'Culloch), which states on p. [4] that Workman is its calculator. The present almanac omits a few notes, adds others, omits the monthly table of time equations, and adds one for the moon's age and a column for its southing. The eclipse predictions are duplicated in each almanac.
General noteWorkman advertised his almanac calculations for this year in the Freeman's journal, June 14, 1786.
General noteTitle vignette: state seal. The Anatomy is the only other illustration.
