In the present almanac the calculations for th rising, setting, and phases of the moon are identical with those in the Columbian calendar; the astronomical notes on the calendar pages correspond with significant frequency; and the eclipse predictions are a briefer version with identical calculations. Differences appear in part of the calculations on the calendar pages because the Columbian almanac is for the meridian of Boston and the present one for that of Newport.;
