Letter from the mayor of the town of Alexandria, in the District of Columbia : inclosino [sic] sundry resolutions of the citizens of the town and county of Alexandria, expressive of their disapprobation of a motion now depending before the House, to recede to the states of Virginia & Maryland, respectively, the jurisdiction of such parts of the said district as are without the limits of the city of Washington. : 6th December, 1804. Read, and referred to the committee of the whole, to whom the said motion of re-cession, was referred on the 29th ult.
