Burr and Judge Lewis" in the New York gubernatorial contest of 1804. Certified by Beriah Palmer. "Fellow-citizens, From the above statement you will perceive in what light Aaron Burr and his coadjutors are regarded by the president ... may it not be predicted that you will oppose the elevation of a man to the governmental chair of this state, whose known principles are hostile to the general government?"
