Letters of Peter Cooper on the necessity there is for a wise discriminating tariff to protect American labor, and maintain the inseparable and harmonious interest there is between the plow, the loom and the anvil : as the only possible means to insure a speedy return to specie payments, with a rapid payment of the national debt, and thus preserve the great interests and the honor of the nation.
