| Abstract |
Composer/arranger/pianist Billy Childs leads and all-star interpretation of songwriter Laura Nyro's beloved works. Featuring guest artists Renee Fleming, Esperanza Spalding, Yo-Yo Ma, Alison Krauss, Ledisi, Wayne Shorter, and more. Nyro is a singer-songwriter from the Songwriters and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame whose blend of Broadway-inspired melodies, jazz improvisation and socially conscious lyrics have stayed with Childs. His devotion to her art is at the heart of this album. |
