| Abstract | This book is an exhaustive collection of letters and correspondence between Henry Willis III & E.M. Skinner (the former G. Donald Harrison--formerly of the Willis Organ firm in the UK--to the latter), G. Donald Harrison, Sen. Emerson Richards, William King Covell, Ned Gammons, Arthur Hudson Marks, E. Power Biggs, Joseph Whiteford, and others. The book includes letters and gossip from many of the above mentioned regarding Skinner's unceremonious ouster in the 1930's from the company which he originally founded. The letters in this book contain discussion about family matters, but within are included a treasure trove of technical information regarding scaling, wind pressures, etc. of landmark Aeolian-Skinner organs. |
