| Biographical note | "Edwin T. Liemohn, born in Estelline, South Dakota, took undergraduate work at Augsburg College, Minneapolis, and graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn. (B.A.). He also studied at Chicago Musical College, Minneapolis College of Music, and MacPhail School of Music, Minneapolis. He holds the following degrees in music: Master of Music, MacPhail School of Music; Master of Arts in Music Education, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York; Doctor of Sacred Music, Union Theological Seminary School of Sacred Music, New York City, 1945. Dr. Liemohn has been head of the Music Department and director of Wartburg Choir, Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, since 1937. He is the author of 'The Chorale Through 400 Years' and has also written numerous published compositions for choirs."--Dust jacket. |
