Biographical noteLincoln Fitzell (19003-1958) was a San Francisco, California-born poet who graduated from Harvard and went to graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley, where he became friends with Robert Penn Warren. Aside from writing, Fitzell made a living as a longshoreman.
