Biographical noteThe American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina Pitt/Greenville Chapter was very active during the 1970s and 1980s. Cases that needed legal action were referred to the North Carolina Civil Liberties Union in Raleigh, N.C and in 1998 the chapter closed.
