Summary Description: This logbook from Captain Greenville Collins was compiled during a time of peace between England, Spain and Portugal; the expedition was intended as a reconnaissance mission and as such, this journal includes a number of charts and Drawings & Artworks, including a chart of Falmouth, charts of the Tangiers coastline and observations on coastlines. There are also remarks of the voyage from Tangier to Alicante and charts of the coast of Alicante and Drawings & Artwork of the coast of Malaga. The journal describes meeting other ships; the trading habits of the countries they visit; landscapes and coastlines, including a visit to the recently erupted Mount Vesuvius in Naples.
