SeriesVoiceless art ; episode 4
Abstract His art is photo-realistic, yet, ironically, photographs are not as real as his art, which reflects the 'reality closest to my eye', as Dede Eri Supria puts it. To understand a country and its people, it's sometimes easier to enter into their consciousness through their art. Dede Eri Supria peels away the masks that people wear to reveal the truth of the subject as he sees it - everyone is a clown. Each painting he creates tells a story of a society lost in materialism, a people who have lost its soul.
