Abstract In this three-part program, Drs. Waller and Dermer begin by discussing the foundations of career counseling and development. The one thing that we're going to do more than anything in our lives is work. That makes it imperative for counselors to know how to help people in this life area. In particular, they discuss constructivism and career counseling. In Part 2, Dr. Waller facilitates a mock session with a client in which he demonstrates the use of the narrative approach in career counseling. In Part 3, Drs. Dermer and Waller review and highlight the techniques and strategies Dr. Waller used in his client demonstration.
