| Abstract | Ruth Solomon, now based at the University of California in Santa Cruz, discusses aspects of her work in anatomy and dance medicine, which have led to the making of the videotape Anatomy as a master image in training dancers. She recalls her experiences as a member of Jean Erdman's company and her involvement, with Erdman, in founding the School of the Arts at New York University. Her research into dance medicine, begun during her performing career, has included studies on dance injuries in relation to various modern dance techniques, and on foot morphology. |
