Abstract This film follows Cranford Infant and Nursery school during their Christmas celebrations and the nerve-wracking build up to their unique nativity performance. Cranford, a large primary in Hounslow, is proud of its cultural and religious diversity and its success lies in its rich mix of pupils. The school is heavily involved in the DfES Excellence and Enjoyment scheme, and the Christmas celebration is a key element in its efforts to promote racial integration. This year NQT teacher Catherine Morga has rewritten the traditional nativity story, integrating all of the school's ethnic groups and faiths. Pupils create a cultural extravaganza with a variety of regional customs represented, and Bollywood dancing features alongside Jesus, Joseph and Mary.
