| Abstract | A video journey down the Connecticut River with Robert Perkins in a traditional birch-bark canoe. This trip originally required five weeks. At first the passage appeared to be a simple "down-hill" journey through Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut to the Long Island Sound. However, the voyage proved to be more arduous than expected. The production is not simply another travel documentary ; it also includes speculations of the relationship between man and the natural environment. Numerous interviews with local inhabitants of the area are featured. |
