Abstract Many years before the arrival of the Negro Bantus around the year 1000 BC, in the deepest of the equatorial jungles, the first dwellers of the African continent live: the Pigmies. They were always jungle nomads. They know no other world than jungle. They are one of the long-lived people in the world thanks to the pharmacopeia of the jungle. Today, around 5000 Pigmies still live like thousand of years ago, and their world is at risk due to the indiscriminate logging.
