Abstract Management of the Acute Anterior Shoulder Dislocation: On and Off the Field presents an overview of epidemiology and attendant issues regarding shoulder injuries, particularly glenohumeral dislocations. The video discusses the fact that approximately half of the major joint dislocations that occur involve the humerous separating from the scapula at the glenohumeral joint and outlines appropriate steps that can be undertaken to reduce the injury following the event. The video also reviews possible options for subsequently managing the injury.
