Abstract Sleeping Wellness: Bridging the Gap Between Body, Mind, and Sleep explores an interdisciplinary health approach — exercise, nutrition, sleep, and the spine. In that regard, the video examines several of the fundamental precepts of how these four elements impact each other. The video also reviews how these aspects can affect a person’s phenotypic expression (i.e., collectively, the observable traits or characteristics of an individual). In addition, the video discusses the underlying causes of forward head posture, a condition often referred to as “text neck.” Finally, the video looks at the fact that over 40 million people in the United States suffer from a chronic sleep disorder, points out why this is a serious factor in the prevalence of sleep-related problems, and offers insights into what can be done to address the existing state of affairs.
