Two letters read in the House of Commons on Munday 24 Jan. 1647 : of a great bloody plot discovered at Broadway in Worcestershire acted by fourescore officers in councell, of Coll: Kempsons, Coll: Eyres, Coll; Herberts, Coll: Cookes, and two other regiaments, with the assurance of Coll: Laughhornes assistance. And a promise of moneys to furnish them, from some malignant citizens of London, to surprize the city of Glocester, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Hartlebury, Ludlow, and Bewdly : with the particulars of the designe, and examinations of some of the complotters. And the treaty between the commissioners of Hereford and the officers that oppose them. Die Lunæ, Jan. 24. 1647. It is ordered by the House of Commons, that these letters be communicated to the Committee of both kingdomes, to whom this businesse is referred. Imprimatur, Gilbert Mabbott.
