520 a| Artist Paul Goodnight was born on December 31, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in New London, Connecticut where a foster family raised him. He received his B.A. and M.F.A. degrees from the Massachusetts College of Art. After completing high school, Goodnight served two years in Vietnam. After earning his B.A. degree from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1976, he taught art in Massachusetts high schools and to inmates at Bridgewater State Prison. He received numerous commissions, including a mural for the Orlando airport, a commemorative poster for the 1996 Olympic Games, the 1998 World Cup and an album cover for Kool and the Gang. His work was featured on TV sitcoms, including The Cosby Show. In 1991, Goodnight created Color Circle Art Publishing. Goodnight's creations were displayed at the Smithsonian Institute and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.;
