520 a| Painter, architect and inventor Nathan Jones was born on June 27, 1942. Jones attended Texas Southern University before transferring to the Columbus College of Art and Design after receiving a scholarship. He then returned to Texas to attend the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied architecture for two years. Jones also attended El Centro College, then the University of Dallas for lithography and Eastfield College to study printing. In 1975, Jones had his first museum show at the Midland Museum of Fine Arts where he sold twenty-five paintings for $30,000. He exhibited his art in Houston throughout the 1970s. Jones invented the Multi Caddy to clean golf equipment and founded Multi-Golf Systems International to sell his golf products. Interested in architecture, Jones founded N.J.K. Properties in 1992, designing a number of buildings in Texas. Jones created an authentic historical art series with his Buffalo Soldier paintings.;
