Summary Annotation Since its creation 25 years ago, the International Conference of the Chilean Computer Society continues to present and discuss new ideas in all areas of computer science. SCCC is recognized by the CS community as one of the oldest and highest rated conferences in the Latin American region. This year marks a change in its technical scope by focusing on specific tracks which differ from one year to the other as stated by future calls for papers. The 2005 proceedings presents papers from three tracks, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Databases (DB), and Parallel and Distributed Computing (PDC). There is an intersection among papers intended for the AI and DB tracks.
