| Summary | Log book kept by Elisha W. Smith Jr. of Wellfleet, Mass., on an 1853 trading voyage aboard the ship FLYING DRAGON from Boston to San Francisco aboard the schooner FLYING DRAGON. The log ends with entries describing a hurricane, apparently in the passage around Cape Horn. Part of the vol. has been used as a scrapbook, with poems, engravings, and clippings from a juvenile magazine. |
