Summary Logbook kept by David Fish on board the ship CORINTHIAN of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Timothy Upham, master (George Howland, owner) for a voyage to the Pacific Ocean whaling grounds. Contains inventory of whale oil, whale stamps, verse, mentions injury at sea and death at sea, altercations between Captain and mate, and incident when captain and some crew were held for ransom by natives. Made 9 ports-of-call and spoke 60 vessels. Includes a bag of leaves.
