Abstract 110 Greek folksongs are presented. The songs, tape recorded from singers in 30 villages and towns in the Peloponnesos, Epirus, Macedonia and more than a dozen of the islands, are grouped according to the region from which they were collected. They are transcribed with both words and music, and the Greek texts are accompanied by line-by-line English translations.
