Por lo tanto, tendriamos que admitir que no sabemos lo que hay detras de la Palabra de Dios a no ser, precisamente, porque Dios se ha encarnado: A Dios nadie le ha visto jamas, el unigenito Hijo que esta a la diestra del Padre, el le ha dado a conocer (Juan 1:18).Jesus is God. This is an absolutely unquestionable confession of faith. To speak these words can take for granted the knowledge of who God is before knowing anything about Jesus. Nevertheless, this is not what the Scriptures teach. According to the Gospels, it is clear that we don't know God completely, nor do we know who he really is. That is why Jesus of Nazareth had to appear in history. Therefore, we must affirm that we wouldn't know what is behind God's Word unless, precisely, God had become incarnate: "No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father's heart. He has revealed God to us" (John 1:18). |
